How most ProSeries offices end up here

It starts with one desk. ProSeries sits on one PC, client files live on the C: drive, and the owner does every return.

Then you hire a second preparer. Someone sets up a network install and maps a drive to the shared data folder. It mostly works, until the host PC reboots for Windows updates on a Tuesday in March and nobody can open a return.

Then comes a second office, or a preparer who wants to finish K-1s from home after 9 p.m. Now you have a VPN, a remote session into somebody’s workstation, and a text asking who has the Henderson return open.

Hosting moves all of it to one private server that we run. ProSeries, your data folders and HomeBase live there. Each preparer signs in with MFA and works on the same server from wherever they are. A new laptop means no mapped drives to rebuild.

What changes when ProSeries runs on our server

One HomeBase for everyone

Client list and return files sit in one place. The branch office sees the same list as the front desk, and nobody copies files between machines.

Room for the March crunch

Your server isn’t shared with other firms. Extra CPU and memory from January through April is written into the contract.

Remote preparers, no VPN project

They sign in from home with MFA. Client returns stay on the server, not on their laptop.

Backups you don’t babysit

Server backups every 4 hours, kept 90 days, plus a restore test every quarter.

Uptime in the contract

The 99.99% SLA is signed. Miss it and the credit appears on your next invoice automatically. No claim form.

A WISP to start from

A WISP template, with MFA and encryption on from day one. An answer ready when the PTIN renewal or a cyber-insurance form asks.

Add preparers in January. Drop them in May.

Add a seat when your seasonal preparer starts and remove it when the season ends, at the same rate with no setup fee. Your ProSeries licensing with Intuit is separate.

Moving your ProSeries data over

Setup and migration are included. Here’s how it goes.

  1. 15-minute call. We note your ProSeries version, the prior years you keep and who works where.
  2. Build. We set up your private server and install ProSeries under your Intuit license.
  3. Move. We copy your data, prior years included, over a weekend. It takes a weekend, not an hour.
  4. Monday. Your team signs in, and your named team is on call.

The best window is May through December. If you call us in March, we may tell you to wait.

$79 per user, per month

$72 billed annually, or month-to-month at $79. It covers your private server, ProSeries plus your other desktop apps, with no app-slot limits, Microsoft 365 apps on the server, MFA, encryption, backups, a WISP template, setup and migration. No server fee, no setup fee.

Want laptops and email managed too? Private Cloud + Managed IT is $139/user ($125 annually).

See every plan on the pricing page, or read about Managed IT for laptops and Microsoft 365.

ProSeries hosting questions

Does Intuit allow ProSeries to be hosted?

In most cases, yes. You keep buying your ProSeries license from Intuit, and we install it on your private server. We check your license type on the call before you sign and tell you plainly if anything needs to change.

Do you host ProSeries Basic and Professional?

Yes. Both are desktop installs, which is what we host.

Can preparers in two offices work at the same time?

Yes. Everyone uses the same server, so HomeBase and the return files are shared. If two people open the same return, ProSeries handles it the way it does on your office network today.

How do e-filing and ProSeries updates work?

You e-file from ProSeries the way you do now. We apply ProSeries updates on the server on a schedule you approve.

What if something breaks on April 15?

Your named team picks up 24/7. If the problem is on the server, it’s ours to fix and it counts against the SLA. If it’s inside ProSeries, we open the Intuit ticket with you and stay on it.

What if we want to leave?

Month-to-month, and we return your data in full. If your first tax season with us isn’t better, we migrate you to any provider for free (terms in your agreement).
